This means that it is useful if you already work with CORBA and know its basics and something more. As a reference book for CORBA it is unsurpassed, it comes with examples in both C++ and Java for every single aspect of CORBA it deals with. It saved me a good handful of times, with answers that came after having wasted my time searching over the internet (with CORBA sometimes it happens, it is not so popular ;) ) Everyone using CORBA in his projects for non-trivial things, should have a copy of this book on his shelf.
